Navajo sand painting
This Navajo sand painting is used in indian religious ceremonies and is destroyed at the end of the ceremony. A museum was allowed to have this because one vital piece of it was removed, thus removing its magic power and allowing outsiders to look at it. I often wonder what the missing part was and where it was placed.
