Tern-hunters

A sooty tern - usually found in the seas around the Seychelles  - has been spotted on the Ythan estuary over the past couple of days, so we paid a visit. There was a good crowd of birders there, but to start with, there was no sign of the bird. Eventually it was spotted again, though not by me.However, by taking a whole series of shots of the banks where the terns were sitting, I did manage to get a very far away shot of the rarity - see Extras.
