Such a perfect day

A warm, sunny day with a little cloud cover.

Our very good friends ValC and MrC came over today and after a coffee we got the bus to Scarborough.   We walked over to the Spa Theatre, South Shore and called at the Clock Tower cafe for lunch.    So lovely sitting in the sunshine, the only blot being the railings keeping people safe from repair works to the cliff below.  

We walked further on the promenade, so lovely seeing families in the sea, we were amazed at the size of the old outdoor swimming pool, seen in the middle distance on the main photo.   It is now an area where you can view the stars, with lights in the ground.  (I think ValC will explain it better!)

That side of Scarborough is so lovely and it is many years since I have been that end.   It won't be that long again.

The weather was perfect, the sea calm, we could not have had a better day, with excellent company.   In extras a fishing boat with the seagulls fighting for scraps. 

A perfect day.
