The culprit

For the last two days I have been finding the unmistakable debris from a caterpillar of some sort on the kitchen windowsill.

Today I was determined to find the culprit and I quickly ruled out the basil plant as there were no nibbled leaves.

After a good ten minutes of micro examination, and noticing the chewed ends of parsley stalks, I found the guilty party.

Here it is, in all its greenery.

I will leave identification to the more learned entomologists.
