Juneau, Alaska

Wow, what a day!

We awoke to sunny skies and calm waters.
Semi-Q and I spotted a water spout and a whale beneath.

Breakfast in our usual restaurant at 7.30 and then Semi-Q rested while Mr Q and I spent some time on the top deck admiring the scenery and the captain’s skill in manoeuvring such a big boat into such a small place.

We had a light lunch before disembarking in Juneau. We had an amazing trip in a seaplane over 5 glaciers which was totally spectacular and impossible to do justice to in my photographs.

We had a wee walk through Juneau and then returned to our boat. The sun was shining so we decided to sit out on our balcony and enjoy the weather and watch the seaplanes taking off and landing in alarming frequency!

After our formal evening last night, we decided to go for room service meal on the balcony. Perfect!

It’s been a most interesting day.
