From book to music

Yesterday I finished The Music Shop by Rachel Joyce. A brilliant book! Set in the eighties, about a shopkeeper who sticks to selling vinyl only, even though the music world moved on to CDs. Not for him. Nor cassettes. He helps people where he can. There's a man who only likes Chopin. He hears the man out, listens to the man's inner voice and presents him with Aretha Franklin, making a friend for life.

There's so much mention of music, such a variety and so much explaining of music, that I wanted to find some on YouTube. Much to my surprise I'm not the only one. There are already several playlists available with music mentioned in the book. How cool is that!
