Brooklyn's 3rd Birthday!

Happy 3rd Birthday Brooklyn!

Yes, my sister threw a birthday party for her dog, complete with party hats, balloons, goodie bags, and a cake. I know she's crazy, but I go with it.

Brooklyn had the time of her life even though her puppy friends couldn't make it. Having 3 toddlers over definitely made up for it though. They ran around and played fetch and tug-o-war until settling down and watching Hotel Transylvania. Which, by the way, is a super cute movie.

Melanie made homemade peanut butter biscuits, and a Carob cake with cream cheese frosting for the dogs. We humans had Carob cupcakes with peanut butter frosting, and vanilla cupcakes with cream cheese frosting.

For you blippers who don't know I have Acid Reflux which doesn't allow me to eat certain foods because it causes an excess of acid from my stomach to erode my esophagus and cause a lot of uncomfortable side effects. Chocolate is one of the no-no foods. Melanie found Carob as a chocolate substitute for the dogs as well as me! I can say with overfilling joy that the carob cupcake didn't give me any negative side effects and I have found my chocolate substitute!
I can have hot carob (hot cocoa)! And carob chip cookies (chocolate chip cookies)! And SO MANY "CHOCOLATE" THINGS!
