Painted Lady

I am here at Ian’s and Jerien’s in Wytgaard. It is lovely to be here with my good friends. I took a short nap and have been photographing the butterflies in their garden. This Painted Lady is rare in this area. It originates in North Africa and Spain. It only comes to Holland on exceptionally warm years. This year is very unusual with no rain since April.
