Slide the City

Vancouver folk certainly know how to have fun! Over the weekend several blocks on Lonsdale Avenue were closed to traffic so that an enormous water slide could be erected.

As you can see, there was no shortage of people of all ages lining up to slide down the watery chutes on their yellow rubber rings, at 45$ for 3 goes... and the queue was considerably longer than the blip shows.

No, Lulabel and I spent our last full day exploring the delights of Lonsdale Quay and renewing acquaintances with N#1 and her family when they returned from their weekend away.
