1. Remember. 2. Birthday!
"When you go home, tell them of us and say, for your tomorrow, we gave our today." John Maxwell Edmonds
A wonderful remembrance service at church today, however after a morning of reflecting and remembering, it was time to celebrate my birthday!
Off to nando's for birthday lunch, which apparently is not a good move on a Sunday, slight disappointment aside we made our way (a lot slower than I had perhaps anticipated) to Murrayfield, although definitely cut it fine! Anyway, the match was fantastic, such a great atmosphere and Scotland actually played really well, obviously we were never expecting to win, but I think we gave the All Blacks a really good game, but they are world champions for a reason! So despite the 51-22 defeat I actually came away quite happy with the result. Dan Carter was on fire, and definitely deserved man of the match! If Scotland continue to play at this level, next week could be very interesting - I'm so excited!
After being herded back into the city centre it was home to my favourite food (Alastair's macaroni cheese) for dinner, plus cake, with sparkly candles, he does spoil me :)
A great day, but wow I'm tired!
