Day of walking

Managed to walk 12 miles today

Hot but took plenty breaks

Saw a fiesta in a nearby town which involved a big boat with a huge smooth piece of timber sticking out the front of it. There was a flag at the end of it, the timber was greased and then boys and men took it in turns trying to run the length of the pole and grab the flag. I heard one person did it as the cheer sounded like a goal was scored. One guy sadly fell on the pole and hit his Crown Jewels rather hard, the gasp from the crowd expressed shock and sympathy- I heard an ambulance arrive about 10 minutes later . . .
