Day at work, then me and Gillian wandered down to see what all the fuss was about at Harbourfest.

So so so busy. I can’t even imagine the mess they had to clear up this morning.

We had some food and then walked back over the river and met Emma and Sian in the Ostrich. When we got too chilly sat outside by the water we walked back to town again and had another drink in Aluna.

After trying to leave at 9pm and 10pm I finally escaped at 11 and power walked home.


Favourite conversation of the evening -
Sian (non-Bristolian) explained that the other day on the radio they had a phone-in competition to complete the sentence, “now that school’s out for summer, what beginning with O are the people of Bristol most looking forward to?”
Me and Gillian looked confused.
Emma (pure Bristolian), without missing a beat, shouted “THE ‘OLIDAYS!”

Ah, Bristol.
