And the winner is. . .

I'm the proud winner of a local short story competition and have a gift card to spend in Waterstones.  I love buying books, especially when I don't have to pay for them.

I must the say the famous author would have felt a lot more cheerful if she hadn't managed to lose her camera during the outing.  I think it fell out of a badly zipped rucksack.  Thankfully it was my compact camera, not my new mirrorless camera, but even so it was a nice camera and has shared many days out with me.  I retraced my steps and left messages in various places, but I suspect I've seen the last of it.
