Mama Mia!

A wonderful surprise to meet Helen and Maurice (back row), old Barcelona friends, in Plaza de la Concordia (Harmony) this morning as we ventured out with 'our' Helen for a vermouth aperitif today. Helen and Maurice were students of DD in our very first years here and we've been to parties in each other’s homes and have had lovely dinners over the years. They are open and affectionate and always say that Christmas doesn’t start until our Christmas Letter drops through their letter box! They are hoping beyond hope that that get a mention and this photo in the upcoming edition . . . let's see what what the Editor says!

I chose the title after seeing 'Mama Mia II' this afternoon after we saw Helen off after a lovely terrace lunch around the block. I think something of the colour palette, camaraderie and joy of the film is present here!
