Delayed departure

We were nearly victims of the holiday airport curse.
Two hours before we were due to leave, this happened. A cockpit fire in an aircraft on the main runway at Glasgow Airport. No arrivals or departures for over two hours.
Just as we had given up hope of making our connection at Heathrow, the plane was towed away. We made it - but it was a close shave.
