The cascade at Corby Castle

We parked at Wetheral, just South of Carlisle and walked along the river Eden for an hour or so...

There was no water in the cascade of course because of the heat wave...

But, together with the statue of Nelson, it made a great backdrop for Chloe's swim!!!

Until 1092, this was part of Scotland, then the Normans took over and it became part of England.
