Perhaps not the most gripping scene from the fountain finale of the Bradford Science Festival, but you should have seen those beach balls flying later on.

Had I not been on a promise for Incredibles 2, 13yo, 10yo and I probably would have made more of what was on offer in and around City Park. There was plenty going on and 10yo has returned with an urgent desire to do some coding so we found a Scratch tutorial and away she went.

For the film we visited The Light for the first time, it having opened a new venue in Bradford a couple of months ago. I must admit I found their large reclining chairs a bit annoying; I didn't want to recline because I knew I'd fall asleep, but something about my posture kept activating the recline function so I ended up in an imbalanced state, sliding back and forth for most of the movie.  We all enjoyed the film though; still enough Pixar DNA to keep the Disney schmaltz at bay.
