Stopped off in the picturesque village of Kings Somborne today on a trip through the Test Valley.

This is the biggest of a collection of small villages in the area which include the nearby Little Somborne and Up Somborne, and at the centre, the thatched traditional country pub, the Crown Inn.

It’s not far from the celebrated Test Way, a 49 mile trail through the valley which largely follows the route of the long closed Andover to Redbridge railway.
