Gallery of Modern Art

Long overdue visit to the Gallery of Modern Art this morning.   There is a lot of interesting stuff on show - Jenny Saville's exhibition is on the grand scale and can't be ignored - her early graduation materials are the most immediately appealing but I found the later charcoal work really interesting - none as striking as Aleppo, which was snaffled by the SNG and is being shown alongside Renaissance  painting. 

I really enjoyed the exhibition of German colorist, Emil Nolde (his Adam and Eve painting is an extra).  

Going to see I Tonya at the NB Film Soc. this evening.....I'll report naback on that tomorrow.
