A Day At A Time.

Catalan Bay

As you may remember, I won an overnight stay for two in the Caleta Hotel in Gibraltar from RadioMix106. Well tonight is the night.

The hotel is well-established, but very comfortable and very expensive at the poolside bar! £18 for two gin and tonics is a bit of a stretch by anyone's standards!

But the room is lovely, with a sea view and a tiny balcony to watch the ships in the bay from. I hope to shoot the sunrise tomorrow from there.

Dinner was wonderful. It lasted three hours, which was fine as there was something happening all the time, with fancy Italian breads and small treats arriving at the table one after the other.

At one point, Gibraltar's Chief Minister Fabian Picardo came in to dine with some cronies.

So far so very good. We have breakfast to look forward to and then home via The Yard  to collect Duke, who has been making new friends for the night.
