Back In The U.S.S.Japan

It's taken a while to work out when I needed to blip etc going forward 19 hours, but I think it is all sorted. Our flight back to Kansai in Japan was much better than the way out, probably due to the timings but there was no need to have a lot of sleep. I took the blip as we were approaching the airport and the sun was only hitting the underside of the wing.

We picked up our car, right hand drive, cool.  But the driving to Kusatsu was a bit of an experience, in a good way. The sat nav was in Japanese but spoke in English but you could set your destination by putting in the hotel' phone number!! Eh? So the car has all Japan's phone numbers in it?

The roads it took us on were toll roads, and we had a card inserted in a lot under the wheel... so when you approached the automated toll lane, it knew the card was in the car, read it, then let u go through. When we return the car we will pay the tolls from the card.

These toll roads appeared to be roads in the sky, higher than most buildings with massive wind breaks. It was dark so difficult to appreciate, but was quite an experience. Anyway, we are settled for the night ready for the Alps tomorrow.
