First Crop

The tree has come a long way.  And this is our first crop of Mirabelle plums. There are at least as many still to be harvested.

Our expected heat wave started off quite differently.  We woke up to the sound of rain.  And the air was beautifully cool for the first time in weeks.  That knackered my plans for mowing the lawn though.  It was lovely to be out and not feel like it was a sweat fest.

Sadly the rain gave up here quite early.  It seems to carried on to the south and and east of us though.
