In the Courtauld

London, WC1

My train home was later than I thought, which gave me time to see an excellent, if small, exhibition of some of Jane Brown's work at the Proud Gallery, John Adam Street and then go around the corner to the Courtauld Gallery at Somerset House. I had never been before and I really enjoyed it. Several of the Impressionist paintings seemed very familiar, the size of the collection was good (not too many works) and the setting was fabulous- the rooms were reconstructions of rooms that had existed at the Royal Academy.
