Ypres, Belgium

Last week i had the opportunity to go on a trip with some other history students from my school. We visited several different cemeteries including Tyne Cot and the German cemetery in Langemark and even some real preserved trenches.

We also watched The Last Post at Menin Gate (which was actually just down the road from the hostel we stayed in) and i can say it was extremely emotional.

The town of Ypres where we stayed was one of the most beautiful places i’ve ever been to, the architecture was stunning.

I miss it so much already, from the friends i made in the year bellow to us singing our hearts out on the coach ride that took 10 hours (not including the Ferry) on the way back.

It was an experience i’ll never forget and im so grateful that i got to go.
