Well deserved.

I visited a former colleague who was awarded an OBE Medal earlier this year for services to improving health and safety at work. He had a distinguished career; he was a true expert in his own specialist area and contributed much. And beyond that he was a kind and considerate individual who’d time for people in the busy world of work. He’s not so well at all nowadays. It was lovely to talk over the background to the award etc and to catch up on life and his family.
