Nature claiming back what's hers
These gates are the entrance to an allotment, the owner put up very thick posts (like old telegraph poles) and surrounded the plot with high wire fencing then nothing happened. What he was going to put in there or do in there is a mystery. Now nature has taken over and the blackberries are looking good. Please excuse the pink edges, the cover on my new camera sometimes gets in the way of photo's and I get this reflection on the edge, as I was in a hurry when I took it I didn't check it.
The new neighbours who haven't moved in yet have had a new fence put up between them and us down the middle of the drives, In all the years I have lived here its always been an open fence now it's solid and the poor dogs can't see through, they pace up and down it. I will get used to it but at the moment find it very odd, I have put some large tubs of flowers against it to break up the solidness of it, and it looks a bit better already. will blip it when I have sorted it out.
Good News our village won the Best Dressed Village on the Tour de Yorkshire route, I think it was the great abundance of Yellow bicycles as well as the window decorations.
