Wine o clock

Usual dog walks in a little less heat. Little dog had outdoor play and I sat, eyes briefly closed remembering that end of term feeling when it seemed the summer would go on for ever. The end of term feeling would soon change into deep foreboding after the middle of August. To have left that behind is amazing, with thoughts revisiting only at times of significance. Now I can look back with relief that it’s all over. Looking forward can be worrying too as I watch developments across the world with some consternation.
