Day 201/18. Stirring up the grass

A visit today to the nearby Middle Wallop airfield with the grandsons.
Middle Wallop is home to the training squadron for the AH-1 Apache helicopters used by the British Army Air Corps. Training flights can be seen on most weekdays.
This one was, I think, a trainee practicing hover taxiing about 3 metres above ground level...hence the grass flying up all around it.
I think the instructor must have been in the back seat - not only did they have the maps (you can see them in the pic) but they were holding on tight !!!
