Big lads
Very hot today. This afternoon H and I picked muck off the field and I took the little tractor up and dumped it on the big heap. I really enjoy doing this sort of thing, and H is great company to work alongside. I failed miserably in my attempts to get her printer to scan to her laptop, but she does have someone else who is better at that sort of thing. My role is primarily outside jobs, thank goodness!
Too many flies about to ride outside so we exercised the ponies in the barn. Because of the heat and the flies they have been inside a fair bit lately, so we each rode three of them. I rode Nimbus and the two small ones, all bareback in headcollars, and we did some jumping too. They are so much happier inside, Nimbus and Sprite were full of go and cantered round jumping everything with joie de vivre!
Leaving H's this afternoon I followed these Clydesdales along the road. They are getting lots of extra training and grooming before the agricultural shows in a couple of weeks' time. The rug is to stop the flies biting him, the other horse had one on, but managed to fight his way out of it!
Came home very hot and glowing in a ladylike fashion, so went for a swim! The first this year! So wonderful to be able to walk out the front door, down the slip and straight into the sea. It was perfect, not too chilly and flat as a mill pond. It would be smashing if the water temperature was like this all the time!
