Lucky me

Today was one of those rare occasions when I had a blip plan. This isn't it. You should be looking at a picture of my godson, entitled, "ugly". And if I'd remembered to put my memory card back into my camera you might have been. But I didn't, so you're not.

Instead you get to see another of my birthday presents which I collected whilst lunching at the house of my godson, his brother and his parents. I'm sure you'll agree it's a mighty fine present. And it came accompanied by a splendid pork belly lunch and afternoon of wine and chat with lovely friends. The finest of ways to spend a Sunday afternoon.

The morning was lovely in a different way. Jackson and Carl headed off to football and me and Anna headed to Gail's for brunch and back home to make badges and apple crumble to take along as pudding to our friends.

Anyway, back to Ugly. My godson has just been cast in the lead role for his theatre school's production of Honk, a telling of the Ugly Duckling. We made him an, "I am ugly" badge. We were tempted to make ones for brother and parents of ugly but we have 6 more months of fun with this and we don't want to use it all up on the first weekend.
