The Teign Gorge

This morning was lovely and sunny so we went off to Castle Drogo to walk the Hunters Path which snakes its way above the gorge. As it passes just below the castle it is some height above the river, which we could hear roaring down the steep sided valley below us. In places the path, which is unguarded, is narrow and steep.

The cold water passing through the gorge was forming mist as it met the warmth of the sun and it seem to swirl around the outcrops and the canopy of the trees on the far side which was still in shadow,
