Beanstalk

D left for Granton Harbour before sparrowfart as per. I went up to the allotment for the usual watering/picking/feeding little blighters routine. Was somewhat put out to find that some of the dwarf French beans I'd sown to fill in gaps in an earlier sowing are evidently not dwarf at all - thought they were Mr Brook's Blue (and dwarf), but I might have mislabelled the seed packet. They certainly have a blue tinge. Either heritage variety or from my pal in Cardiff, can't remember. Hey how, it'll just mean a series of individual stakes for them to grow up.
