On the 11th hour??..

On the 11th hour of the 11th day I shall remember. I shall remember the fallen, I shall wish for safe return of those men and women who are currently serving our country and countries that we have friends in who are serving.

I shall remember a Grandfather who I never knew but have heard so very much about and know that I can be proud.

I will always love my dad and be proud of the places that he has served and come home from before I was born.

I wish he could have marched today like his has done so diligently over the years not for him but the men for who have passed and the men who he served with.

I am thankful that he is recovering well from his stroke and so proud of him and all that he believes in.

I am sad that this is the first remembrance Sunday I have not spent with him holding his hand and asking about is medals (i know the stories but does it matter to ask again?) but I know and understand he needed to be with his thoughts today and with his friends who also can not march today......

I'm proud.....

This little poppy dish is for my Mum this Christmas - My mum collects all poppy related things. I love her too.
