A New Day

It's Behind You!

Well, it is coming up to the pantomime season!

This little beauty was taken at the Loch of the Lowes wildlife reserve near Dunkeld, which is better known for its famous aged osprey called Lady, who is very sensibly sunning herself in Africa at the moment.

Red squirrels don't migrate; in fact they don't even hibernate, so you can see them all winter. However, they do have to fatten up for the cold weather and this young one was getting more than his fair share of the peanuts, much to the annoyance of the birds who also wanted in there!

As well as three red squirrels and lots of birds, we also saw the white hind who lives round the loch. She is not an albino as she has normal coloured young, but she is very distinctive.

A lovely autumn drive, with plenty of colour left in the beech trees and hedges, followed by a High Tea which well and truly made up for our disappointing meal yesterday. We can hardly move now!

Hope you all had a lovely day too.
