Business Bay Bridge

Had to visit the offices of a Government body today and got there at the worst time to take pictures (noon), so apologies of the glare (and haze) in this picture.

Well, as you can see, we are pretty high up here (16th floor) and we were thrilled waiting as this was the view! Made a note to head back there on a clear day. This picture shows Business Bay Bridge (one of 3 free Creek crossings), Garhoud Bridge, Creekside Park on the left and the club house of Creek Golf Club (sail shaped building) on the right. You can also see the ship building yard on the left between the two bridges.

And the empty bits of land dotted around... they won't be like that for too long. SO wish I had taken more photos of Dubai before it was built-up but one never thinks of photographing an empty bit of land! It's only when its built-on that the "old" picture becomes really precious!

Apologies that I haven't got a Remembrance Day blip, but we have remembered the day as Gs parents served in WWII.
