Brother Tom in Hanoi

I’ve dragged Martin away for a bit of a break to Hanoi. Big brother Tom is just about finishing up his work there so we thought we’d go check it out before he left.

It’s been lovely to see him again and hope that his work is really over and he can get back to his family in Oz soon. He’s been here a while!

We had a wonderful first day. Friends Sharon and Mike have very spontaneously joined us for this little break and it was loads of fun exploring the old quarter and the main lake, Hoan Kiem, besides the incessant rain.

Tom and I stayed in town to watch the England/Belgium match as the others headed back to the hotel, only to learn that they were showing it there :). We headed back at half time. And were said about the result.

Today we spent 1,458,000 Dong on our dinner! Yup, that is the right amount. We are millionaires at the moment.
