I Beat The Rain......

Today's picture is a Jabotacobie, or as I call it, a Jacobite (Scottish Rebels).
It's a good thing the girls got me up early this morning so they could do their "business" outdoors.   The sun was behind the trees, but there was light and the air was relatively dry.  I got my camera, set the tree on a shelf and got a couple of pictures.
I then made some tea, and heard a rumble... rumble....   In came light rain and a few thunders, but I was happy, because I got my Blip!!!!!

This tree is about 7" tall, it has a wonderful trunk that tapers upward with lovely, slight movement.  Off of the trunk are some well established primary branches, with thickness and placement.   I have trimmed the wild bush to what looks like but a bit of a twiggy thing.  The ends of each primary are now developing secondary branches.  I am looking for bifurcation here.... 2 or more, smaller branches to come out and get some size to them.
You will notice that the apex (top) looks pretty weak....   I have to grow out a new top.  What was there was long, weedy, and just plain ugly.  So....
I whacked it off.  There are 2 possibilities there to work with and either will be better than what I had.      Growing something from nothing like this, and creating the illusion of old is what is so exciting and creative with this passion of mine.  It could be called a hobby, because it is, but this hobby requires daily care and dedication.
