And then it died.

I had set myself the task of doing 4 hills today despite a horrible forecast. I parked up at the head of Ennerdale and set off down the valley to get the first of the day. it was raining heavily and there was quiet a stiff breeze, even at low levels. I made my first stop under some trees before heading out onto the open fellside and tried to capture this fungi, but this was as good as it got. The camera died. I did carry on and get my hills done but it was probably the worst day I have been out in the hills for a number of years.
In consolation on getting back to Keswick they had a food fair on, but it was all to expensive for my purse.

A slightly better day yesterday but only just.
