Staigue Fort
Today we visited an old stone fort built in the early centuries AD before Christianity came to Ireland. It's walls, 6m high and 4m thick, are built completely without mortar and it boasts magnificent views across the bay. Extra is a photo from the outside.
It was difficult to choose today's blip . We took a long drive and visited several places: Waterville, Sneem, Caherdaniel, fabulous viewpoints along the way - including the 2nd extra (I felt it too like my blip from 2 days ago so didn't make it my main), the Gap of Dunloe to name but a few of our stops. A beautiful day which showed the fabulous scenery off exquisitely. I love being on holiday!
