Sidney Sussex College

Met up with an old colleague from College for lunch,  we had a mini picnic in the back gardens.  Most of the lawns were completely dried out, only this strip of grass  between the herbaceous borders had a bit of green left in it. Soul destroying for the college gardeners who pride themselves on such magnificent grounds, as a rule, but without  any rain for weeks they are struggling to keep plants alive.
