Sunrise

Lots of frantic scurrying and very little time to take any photos.

So, this is the sun rising over the East Lothian hills this morning in a few seconds of calm.

Our eldest has been away for a few nights on a school trip to York and we got her back home this evening. It's great to have her back, it doesn't feel right when one of them is away from home for a few nights.

We had a family trip to York last year but she ended up reclining on a sofa for a week with a foot infection and missed all the sights so she's crammed them all in this time. And she brought me back a very thoughtful present from York, something synonomous with the place - a Beatles Badge. Ok it's not what you expect from York but I was touched by how thoughtful it was. Unfortunately she also bought her little brother a wooden replica Viking sword which has already been put to good use terrorising the wenches and livestock in the house.
