Newlands Valley

I find Sunday afternoon has always been the ultimate in chill out and relaxation time. I sure didn't expect the lakeside to be so busy, it's nice to see so many people out walking, although it does make for slightly more difficult photographing. Never mind that, I walked to Friars crag on Derwent water and then made my way back up and stopped in the field by the Thearte on the lake. The views of the surround fells are stunning in that spot.

I contrasted the trees, fells and sky differently before using Silver Efex to convert it to monochrome as well as adding a vignette and a bit more structure to the lumbering fell on the left.
