Looking Up

A morning spent digging on the allotment - half a bed done and scattered with lime and chicken pellets in time for the rain to wash them into the soil! My cue to pack up and go home for lunch! Sadly the rain didn't last long but a little is better than nothing!
This is the first of my poppies to flower. I took the seedheads from another allotments plot last year and just strew them around my strawberry bed - so pleased they came up and so pleased to see the flower! I love how poppies have drooped flower heads until just before they open when they lift their heads to the sky.
