KitKat M&M cake

Inge is having a barbecue with her class tonight. It’s their last week together as summer vacation starts next week and after that the children will go to different schools. Inge still has this combined feeling of joy and sadness and I guess that will continue until the final goodbyes are exchanged on Friday. Inge promised her teachers and classmates to make a KitKat M&M cake for dessert so today she made two of those, with help from Nienke. It’s heaven for chocolate lovers: a chocolate cake with KitKats on the side, chocolate mousse on top and then a layer of M&M chunky on top of that. Of course nothing was returned after the barbecue...

Thanks for the kind words for my mother. It seems we have to wait three more weeks before she can be seen in hospital. Hopefully she can do that without too much pain...
