The real reason for our visit

We have decided to downsize boats. We have had so much fun in our old Swan but with the boys being so busy now and not available to crew we are finding keeping up with all the maintenance and the long distance sailing more tiring.
This is the beautiful next step. We saw an Orkney Yole at the Southampton boat show years ago and fell in love with her. Ian Richardson , traditional boatbuilder in Stromness, says he's going to retire and this is his last Yole. Well aren't we the lucky ones ! We came to have come to have a wee peek !
