The bird feeder
Well, actually I have 4 - the birds around here don’t seem interested in fat balls, so I’ve stopped using those two additional feeders. Normally the seed feeders have anti-squirrel cages on them, as well at devices to stop both the squirrels climbing the poles. Without the the ‘cages’ the pigeons manage to perch and eat all the seed. However, for photographic purposes I’ve removed the ‘cage’ on this feeder, and so far the pigeons haven’t noticed! I don’t need the ‘cages’ round the nut feeders, as the pigeons aren’t interested (though magpies are!) and the domes on the posts keep the squirrels at bay.
