Tram Temptation

Growing up in a small country town means you 'miss out' on lots of 'big city' things. I'd never seen a tram til about 10 years ago... Today I am still fascinated by them.

After a huge day of shopping yesterday I was keen to do more sightseeing and spen less. But luck really wasn't on my sightseeing side today. The cable car to the big buddha was just too far out to be feasible in the few hours we had left. So we decided to do the Peak Tram instead. But the line was so incredibly, ridiculously long. When we got round the corner and discovered how much further we still had to go we pulled out, even after being in it for 20 minutes! Rather sad and resigned to no tram ride and no mountain peaks, we went and had lunch. Then before we knew it we were getting ready to head back to the airport.

What a crazy eventful weekend! Next time I visit I definitely plan to spend less time in the shops and more time out and about. Its hard when all you have is a couple of days but I'll come prepared with a plan of attack next time :)
