Pumpkin

Today was the judging for the pumpkin competition at the school. The girls were given the pumpkin plants back before the summer. Eldest's plant didn't survive as the main stem was broken before we got it home. Youngest's plant flourished and left to fend for itself for the summer developed some small pumkins which fed the large slug population in our garden. Fortunately this small one just about survived and youngest proudly took it into school. It wasn't a prize winner but she did get a certificate for taking part.
