Sweet Sweet Babies

Today was the first day in a busy week in our house. Josh is doing a lot of travelling and gearing up for his first Jr. High basketball coaching experience. He'll be busy with paperwork, CPR courses, etc., when he's not travelling. The kids are I are getting busier by the minute, with fun things like a trip to Denny's for free breakfast, picking out seeds for our garden, playing with friends, etc.

Today, Grammy came over for awhile while I went to a meeting on campus. The kids were excited to get to spend some one on one time with Grammy. It was a great visit. However, Grammy got lunch all ready to go and opened up a package of turkey sticks I recently bought for the kids. I guess they are really spicy and I didn't realize it. So, that was a minor hick up. Spiciness and young children (especially mine) do not go together all that well. Little Mia will call something spicy anytime she doesn't like it, regardless if there is actual spice involved or not. It's hilarious!

Today, Tyler's favorite word was "ridiculous". Mia threw a big fit over something very minor and he sat over at his little table with his own commentary, saying "That is ridiculous!" I then informed him that Aunt Kelly's favorite word is atrocious! I used the example, "Hannh got up at 5:30 this morning. It was atrocious!" I caught Tyler multiple times repeating that example, simply so he could enjoy saying the word atrocious!

We picked out some fun seeds for our garden this year. Tyler was most excited about pumpkins. We shall try and grow our own carving pumpkin for Halloween. Last year, we waited so long, we never actually got pumpkins. so, this year, hopefully, we'll have them waiting in our backyard. My most excited seed was the one for tomatillos! We love tomatillo salsa around here and it would be thrilling to have those little green things growing in our backyard! I know we are early, but I've got to be early or I'll be very very late! Happy Monday!

Oh yeah, this picture was just me, playing with my wooden figures. After looking at them, they've all been given to me by various people at various times in my life. However, despite the variety, they all speak to how I feel about my babies. Sweet sweet beautiful babies!
