Very seedy

Long drive to Yorkshire today for a Volvo car event. First I called in on an old friend who lives nearby and we had a good catchup, while watching a large family of ducklings on her garden stream.
On arrival at the event venue, there was a welcoming letter in my hotel room, printed on rather rough cast paper. It’s actually impregnated with flower seeds, and came with the instruction: ‘Bury it in soil, water regularly and watch it grow.’ What a great idea.
Supper with Volvo was a convivial affair at one very large table in this elegant fig house. The evening’s entertainment was a very dramatic thunderstorm accompanied by torrential rain!
